ScopeMeter® Firmware Upgrade
A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190C/2x5 Series is available, major changes
are:
- Several issues on CAN, FF and Profibus DP have been resolved (2x5C only)
- F2 is disabled in eye-pattern button bar when bus health is off (2x5C
only)
- Fixed Dot-join status after leaving bushealth mode (2x5C only)
- Fixed Trigger status indication after leaving bushealth mode (2x5C only)
- No data banner no longer appears when wiring diagram is shown (2x5C only)
- Fixed recall function, not correctly recalling screen + data (V8.04)
- Fixed TrendPlot Save. UI only showed Screen + setting not Recording
(V8.04)
- Fixed Trend storage (V8.02)
- Remote Control Fluke 190 Series improved (V7.06)
- Zoom in 2s/div timebase setting improved and micro symbol added in
readings symbol table (V7.04)
- Improved screen update rate (V7.02)
- Deeper waveform memory up to 3K spectrum analysis using Fast Fourier
Transformation (V7.00)
- Two new trigger modes (n-cycle and dual edge) (V7.00)
- Cursor limited automatic measurement (rms Watt etc between cursors) (V7.00)
Upgrading Version V7.0x, V8.00 or V8.02 to Version
V8.04 - Instruments
with version V7.01 to V8.02 are field upgradable free of charge.

FlashTool Software requirements:
- Fluke 190C/2x5C Series Color ScopeMeter, with firmware
V7.01 - V8.02. (See Firmware Level Check above);
- A PC, running Windows XP or Vista, with a free RS-232 or USB
port to perform the software installation;
- PM9080 or OC4USB (RevII) optically isolated serial interface cable (as included with the
ScopeMeter 19xC/S model and with the SCC-190 kit) for data interconnection between the PC
and the instrument
Upgrading earlier Versions - Instruments with firmware version V5.0x and V6.x
cannot be upgraded to V8.04 in the field. These instruments require
re-calibration after upgrading. Therefore these units must be returned to a
Fluke Authorized Service Center. Contact your local service center and order a
firmware upgrade and calibration according to PCN 4841. Note: For the firmware
upgrade and calibration a nominal fee will be charged!
A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190B Series is available, major changes
are:
- Remote Control improved (V7.06)
- Zoom in 2s/div timebase setting improved and micro symbol added in readings symbol table (V7.04)
- Improved screen update rate (V7.02)
- Deeper waveform memory up to 3K spectrum analysis using Fast Fourier Transformation (V7.00)
- Two new trigger modes (n-cycle and dual edge) (V7.00)
- Cursor limited automatic measurement (rms Watt etc between cursors) (V7.00)
Upgrading Version V7.00, V7.01, V7.02 or V7.04 to Version V7.06 - Instruments with
version V7.00 to V7.04 are field upgradable free of charge.

- Fluke 190B Series ScopeMeter or 190B Series (Monochrome) ScopeMeter, with firmware V7.00 - V7.04. (See Firmware Level Check above);
- A PC, running Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT 4.0, XP or Vista, with a free RS-232 or USB port to perform the software installation;
- PM9080 or OC4USB (RevII) optically isolated serial interface cable (as included with the ScopeMeter 19xB/S model and with the SCC-190 kit) for data interconnection between the PC and the instrument
Upgrading earlier Versions - Instruments with firmware version V5.0x
and V6.x cannot be upgraded to V7.06 in the field. These instruments require
re-calibration after upgrading. Therefore these units must be returned to a

A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190C Series is available, major changes

- Improved TrendPlot scaling
- Improved Voltage Readings stability
- When performing a TrendPlot of an Input A measurement, the probe attenuation factor of
Input B was shown.
- If a meter TrendPlot is acquired in FlukeView 4.0, it can show a scaling error. This
happens if a previously acquired TrendPlot had different range or probe attenuator
settings.
Upgrading Version V5.03, V5.04 and V6.xx to Version V6.15 -
Instruments with firmware version V5.03 – V6.14 are field upgradable free of

A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190B
Series is available, major changes are:
- Improved TrendPlot scaling
- Improved Voltage Readings stability

A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 125 Series is available,
- Measurement of total power (W) in Harmonics corrected (V3.03)
- Foundation Fieldbus limits H1 according IEC 61158 (V3.02)
- Improved task scheduler for Bushealth (V3.01)
Upgrading Version V3.00, V3.01,V3.02 or V3.03 to Version V3.04 - Instruments
with firmware version V3.00, V3.01,V3.02 or V3.03 are field upgradeable free of

A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 123/124 is available, which gives you
the following additional functions:
- Battery refresh time changed from 12 to 19 hours to reflect the real situation (V2.02)
- Postscript printing improved. (V2.01)
- A screen refresh is done after a 'send setup' action (V2.01)
Upgrading Version V2.00, V2.01 or V2.02 to Version V2.03 - Instruments
with firmware version V2.0x are field upgradable free of charge.

Upgrading earlier Versions - Instruments with firmware version V1.0x
cannot be upgraded to V2.03
A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 120 Series is available, which gives you
the following additional functions:
- The new firmware provides probe settings 20:1 and 200:1 for the DP120 differential
probe. The 1000:1 probe setting has been canceled.
- In the previous firmware the print function only supports A4 paper format
- Probe settings 1000:1, 10 mV/mA, and 0.1 mV/A have been added.
- When a temperature or diode measurement is trendplotted, and the Fluke123 is switched
off and on again, the vertical scaling information is shown.
- The trigger icon in VIDEO mode is automatically set to negative edge ( ) at VIDEO
POLARITY POSITIVE, and to positive edge ( ) at VIDEO POLARITY NEGATIVE. This reflects the
actual trigger edge.
- The following bug has been solved:
Set Input B OFF, select TRENDPLOT, press HOLD, press V Hz A (INPUT B MEASUREMENTS menu),
press right arrow key (MEASURE on B), press F4 (ENTER), press F4 (YES, restart TRENDPLOT);
TRENDPLOT is restarted now, but the display still shows HOLD in V01.03 and lower.
Upgrading Version V1.00, V1.02, V1.03 or V1.04 to Version V1.08 -
Instruments with firmware version V1.0x are field upgradable free of charge.
